Niddrie Campus

Welcome

Essendon Keilor College’s Junior School on the Niddrie campus is one of two excellent options for Years 7-9 students. It is located in Peters Street, Airport West, adjacent to Niddrie Primary School.

We’re thrilled that the flexible nature of our new technology-rich learning space is bringing students together to explore, design, create, build and present like never before. In doing so our learners are not only engaged and motivated, they’re honing the life skills of effective communication, cooperation and adaptability.

We love being part of the wider learning community that is Essendon Keilor College. It gives our students access to a wider range of facilities and programs and makes the transition to the senior campus for Year 10 students seamless. But as a sub-school we get to make meeting the academic and social needs of young adolescents our sole focus.

We excel at this, in part, by fostering a sense of family on our campus. We create an environment where feeling safe, supported and respected means you can take the risks required to be your best. We’re small enough to know each student and to quickly develop the trust relationships required for effective learning. Listening, caring and intervening to support and extend learning in and beyond the classroom is our strength.

The Niddrie campus can be easily accessed by car and bus.

Campus Principal’s Message – Adam Potter

What’s most important to us at Essendon Keilor College is equipping students to flourish in life and the world beyond our gates. Through high quality practices, we aim to create global citizens who are successful in their lives and careers and to equip them with the skills and attributes to form positive relationships. This means providing an excellent, holistic education that equally prioritises academic and personal growth.

This occurs through the expert delivery of our diverse, challenging curricular and co-curricular programs. Student knowledge and skill development grows through learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), the Arts, Languages, Design and Technologies, Physical Education and Sport. Social skills are further developed through involvement in camps, excursions, clubs, Sport, Music or our School Production.

Our teaching and learning culture is focused on challenging and growing all students and our teachers are passionate educators. There is an emphasis on teacher professional learning, use of data to inform planning and teaching for each student; and implementation of a range of effective strategies to maximise learning outcomes.

As the campus leader, I have a passion for creating a safe and stimulating learning environment whereby students are challenged in their learning, student voice is heard, and success is celebrated.
