Families can attend tours of our school
Term Two
From 24 April 2025:
Families at government schools receive the Placement Information Pack for Parents/Carers (for the 2026 school year) from their primary school.
Only families at non-government primary schools (Catholic, Independent, home educated or other) can access this pack here.
The pack contains:
Application for Year 7 Placement 2026 Form and Privacy Notice.

Essendon Keilor College Open Night
9 May 2025:
Closing date for families at government primary schools to return the Application for Year 7 Placement 2026 Form to their primary school.
Families at a non-government primary schools must email this completed form directly to us at [email protected] by this date.
1 July 2025:
Families at government primary schools are notified of the outcome of their application by their primary school. Families at non-government primary schools are notified of their application outcome by Essendon Keilor College or another school listed in their preference list.
From 2 July 2025:
Essendon Keilor College sends families that have been offered a place a welcome letter affirming their acceptance of our offer.
Families that have not been offered a place can commence lodging a written non-placement appeal to us using the official Year 6 to Year 7 Transition Placement Appeal Form. Government primary schools will provide families with this form and assist with this process. Families from non-government schools can contact [email protected] to access this form.
Term Three
From 21 July 2025:
Families who have accepted our offer will be sent information regarding our High Achievers Program (HAP), Sporting Academy programs, Instrumental Music program, 2026 Year 7 camp and other transition information.
25 July 2025:
Closing date for families to lodge the Year 6 to Year 7 Transition Placement Appeal Form to [email protected].
12 August 2025:
All families at government primary schools return their Year 7 Placement Acceptance Slip to their child’s government primary school, even if the child will be attending a Catholic or Independent school.
22 August 2025:
Applications for our 2026 Year 7 High Achievers Program close.
Term Four
6 November 2025:
2026 Year 7 Parent Information Evening
From mid November 2025:
High Achievers Program applicants are interviewed and positions confirmed.
9 December 2025:
Orientation Day for all Year 6 students (Year 7 2026).
